Move aside, Juninho.
Philippe Coutinho overtook his compatriot with a sweet strike Saturday against Stoke City, his 30th Premier League goal, making the little Liverpool magician the top Brazilian scorer in the history of England's top flight.
Juninho hit the back of the net 29 times over three different spells with Middlesbrough, but Coutinho - who has taken his game to another level this season - is now atop the pile.
Player | Goals | Matches Played |
---|---|---|
Coutinho | 30 | 132 |
Juninho | 29 | 125 |
Oscar | 21 | 131 |
Roberto Firmino | 20 | 61 |
Gilberto Silva | 17 | 170 |
Ramires | 17 | 159 |
Willian | 17 | 122 |
Geovanni | 14 | 79 |
Elano | 14 | 62 |
Robinho | 14 | 41 |
His teammate Roberto Firmino, who netted the winner in Saturday's 2-1 comeback triumph over the Potters, looks likely to ascend the table as well, assuming he remains with the Merseyside outfit for the foreseeable future.
