Baylor's Motley out 4-6 weeks with torn meniscus

Baylor forward Johnathan Motley will miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus, a school spokesperson told Nick Canizales of KCEN News on Thursday.

Motley suffered the injury in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament versus South Carolina but played through it, a source told Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.

The junior finished the contest against South Carolina with 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor, but his Bears ended up on the wrong end of a 20-point blowout, ending their season.

Motley hasn't yet announced his intentions for next season, but it's conceivable he could turn pro after spending three seasons at Baylor. The 6-foot-10 Houston native is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second round if he does declare for the NBA draft.

Motley averaged 17.3 points and 9.9 rebounds for Baylor in 2016-17.
