Manning would understand if Giants selected quarterback early in draft

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is unfazed by the speculation that his team may select his eventual replacement in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

Manning led the Giants to two Super Bowls but is at peace with the nature of the business.

"I understand that's just part of it," Manning said to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY when asked about the Giants potentially selecting a quarterback early.

Manning has been the cornerstone of the franchise since being acquired on draft night in 2004, earning four Pro Bowl selections and two Super Bowl MVP awards.

Entering his 14th season, many believe the Giants need to begin thinking about life after Manning, although he's showed no signs of decline.

Manning completed 63 percent of his passes for 4,027 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions, steering the Giants to a playoff appearance in 2016.
