21 college teammates who could reunite in the NFL this year

Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports

With so many college players from so many teams entering the draft every season, most prospects are going to have plenty of introductions to make at the pro level.

However, there are a few lucky souls who will be reunited with their collegiate brethren, like former Oregon teammates and current San Francisco 49ers defensive linemen Arik Armstead and DeForest Buckner.

Here are 21 college teammates who could find a familiar face or two on their next team:

Reuben Foster & Reggie Ragland

College team: Alabama
Pro team: Buffalo Bills

The Bills could lock in a linebacking duo that was stellar together in the middle of Alabama's 2015 national championship defense by taking Foster tenth overall.

Ragland missed his entire rookie season in 2016 with a torn ACL, but could catch up to what he missed in a hurry if he and Foster are together again, learning the NFL game.

Malik Hooker & Joey Bosa

College team: Ohio State
Pro team: Los Angeles Chargers

Bosa was the best overall player in the 2016 draft and Hooker is one of the elite in this year's crop, drawing comparisons to Ed Reed and Earl Thomas.

The Chargers have a need at safety after losing Eric Weddle over a year ago and Hooker could very well still be on the board when they pick at No. 7. After scoring with one Ohio State product, they should be fairly confident in adding another.

Budda Baker & Marcus Peters

College team: Washington
Pro team: Kansas City Chiefs

Washington has quickly turned into a defensive back factory, churning out Peters two years ago and now the trio of Baker, Sidney Jones, and Kevin King.

Adding Baker behind Peters and beside All-Pro Eric Berry could create a dynamic defensive backfield, somewhat similar to the Seattle Seahawks' "Legion of Boom."

The Chiefs don't have an obvious need to fill with the 27th pick, but both safety and cornerback could be options, so if it's not Baker, Jones or King could also be joining Peters.

Dalvin Cook & Jameis Winston

College team: Florida State
Pro team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Winston has already proclaimed how much he would love to be reunited with his former Florida State backfielder, and it would make a lot of sense for that to happen.

With an upcoming suspension for Doug Martin, the Bucs may be inclined to cut their under achieving veteran in favor of Cook, who should be available at the 19th pick following a subpar pre-draft process.

Mike Williams, Sammy Watkins, & Shaq Lawson

College team: Clemson
Pro team: Buffalo Bills

If the Bills don't want to double up on Alabama linebackers, perhaps a pair of Clemson receivers would be more in their taste.

Buffalo has been rumored to be in the market for a piece opposite Watkins and the first round is the best place to land a good one. Williams was a freshman in Watkins final year of college, but saw enough time to build a relationship with the Bills star.

Having taken Lawson in the first last season, Williams would have a familiar face on the defensive side of the ball too.

Takkarist McKinley & Kenny Clark

College team: UCLA
Pro team: Green Bay Packers

After taking Clark last draft and Brett Hundley the year before, Green Bay seems to have taken a liking to UCLA. In need of a pass rusher, there's no need to fight that urge.

McKinley revealed recently that he requires surgery after playing through injuries in his college career, so he could slide down to pick No. 29. If he's still there, the Packers may have found their replacement for Julius Peppers.

DeShone Kizer, Will Fuller, & Nick Martin

College team: Notre Dame
Pro team: Houston Texans

Without Tony Romo, the Texans should be in the market for a quarterback and there happens to be one who has chemistry with one of their receivers and centers.

Houston drafted Fuller and Martin in the first and second round last year, and quite frankly, Kizer didn't look the same without them at Notre Dame.

The Texans could solve their franchise quarterback problem by getting the band back together with the 25th overall pick.

Garett Bolles & Devontae Booker

College team: Utah
Pro team: Denver Broncos

The Broncos need to improve their running game - that's why they drafted Booker last year and that's why they need to add an offensive lineman this year.

Bolles may be a bit of a reach at pick No. 20 if Wisconsin's Ryan Ramczyk is still on the board, but if he isn't, pairing the two Utah products together should be a winning combination for Denver.

Gareon Conley, Vonn Bell, & Michael Thomas

College team: Ohio State
Pro team: New Orleans Saints

The Saints double-dipped into Ohio State's talent pool last spring and had success doing so.

Cornerback is a dire need for the Saints in this draft and Conley could be their man at the 11th or the 32nd pick. Pairing him with former teammate Bell would be more than just a familiar face as chemistry between cornerbacks and safeties is crucial.

Likely having to face Conley in practices, Thomas could also give some insight to his front office about what the former Buckeye can offer.
