Report: Ray Rice hired as high school RB coach in New Jersey

Ray Rice is back in football. Coaching football, that is.

The former Baltimore Ravens player has accepted a position as running backs coach at Don Bosco Prep School in Bergen County, N.J., a source told ESPN's Dianna Russini.

However, school representatives have denied the reports, according to NorthJersey.com.

Rice was released by the Ravens and indefinitely suspended after video surfaced of him striking his then-fiancee in an elevator in 2014.

Despite campaigning and promising to donate 100 percent of his salary to domestic violence charities if he were signed, Rice did not find a new club after eventually being reinstated in 2015.

Don Bosco Prep has produced several NFL players, including running back Ryan Grant, receiver Leonte Carroo, quarterbacks Matt Simms and Mike Teel, and defensive end Corey Wooton.

Rice played his college ball in New Jersey at Rutgers, about an hour away from his new job.
