Saints bring back Bush to bolster safety position

Rafael Bush is returning to New Orleans.

The Saints have signed the free-agent safety to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

Bush, a veteran of seven seasons, played with the Saints from 2012-15. His last year with the team ended after one game when he suffered a torn pectoral and was placed on injured reserve. The Detroit Lions signed him to a one-year contract in 2016 and Bush appeared in all 16 games.

Bush will now provide support to Saints strong safety Kenny Vaccaro.
