'No question' Rodgers could play into his 40s, says McCarthy

Tom Brady isn't the only ageless quarterback in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy believes that due to Aaron Rodgers' athletic ability, particularly in his legs, there's no reason to doubt he could have another decade of greatness in him.

"I mean mentally and physically, clearly yes; he has that ability," McCarthy told ESPN's Rob Demovsky when asked if his 33-year-old quarterback can play into his 40s. "I think there's no question there. But I think all positions in football are the same. It's their legs.

"You watch a player - and it's no different with quarterbacks - as long as they have their legs, they can compete at that level."

McCarthy went on to agree that Brady can play at a high level for the foreseeable future as well, crediting both quarterbacks' health.

"If you do have good fortune and good health and you're able to keep playing at a high level, I think these guys will play a lot longer than the generation before them," he said.
