Fordham's Joseph Chartouny to test NBA draft waters

Debby Wong / USA TODAY

Fordham sophomore guard Joseph Chartouny will declare for the 2017 NBA Draft, but will not sign with an agent, the school announced Wednesday.

The guard averaged 12.1 points, five assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 29 games this past season, ranking fifth in Division I in steals per game (3.24).

Chartouny was the 2016 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, where he averaged 11.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.3 rebounds.

By not signing with an agent, Chartouny will be eligible to return to school if he opts out of the draft.
