Bennett, Irvin blast NFL's celebration training video
If you think it's strange the NFL is dedicating so much time to teaching players what to do after a touchdown, rather than tackling more pressing issues, you're not alone.
After the league announced Wednesday it will attempt to educate players on how to celebrate with a training video, Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett went on a lengthy Twitter rant denouncing the idea and questioning the NFL's motives.
Yea An educational training video on celebrations? Spend that money on something else like a video on investments or something that https://t.co/xabCzeRqYO

Let the players express their individuality and creativity. Y'all gonna make an educational video on how we should talk next? https://t.co/xabCzeRqYO

See the NFL promotes the logos not the players. The NBA promotes its players. Big difference.

NFL knows players wont be around long so they invest all resources into the building teamlogos for longevity. That's the constant variable.

NBA on the other hand they can invest in the players being the face of the entire league. Look at the advertising of both.

The nerve to tag the word "educational" on it. Lmfao. Y'all crazy for that. pic.twitter.com/kRDCtS78fZ

Oakland Raiders linebacker Bruce Irvin also took to Twitter to criticize the league for trying so hard to control the way players celebrate.
NFL need to b worrried bout a lot of other shit than worrying about a dude celebrating 🤔

Growing up wanting to b in the NFL I always thought when you got to the professional level you could have as much fun as you want.

It's the COMPLETE opposite smh
