La Salle may be in line to lose its leading scorer come June, as guard B.J. Johnson has elected to test the professional waters.

Johnson has decided to explore the possibility of forgoing his senior season with the Explorers and enter the 2017 NBA Draft, according to Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports, citing an official release.

There is still hope for La Salle fans, however, as Johnson will not hire an agent to represent him and therefore will retain the option to return to the Explorers should he not be satisfied with his professional prospects.

Johnson enjoyed an effective 2016-17 season in which he led La Salle with 17.6 points and 6.3 rebounds over 32.6 minutes.
