Report: Holm has offer to fight Ji Yeon Kim at UFC Singapore

Holly Holm's climb back to the top could begin this summer.

The former UFC women's bantamweight champion has received an offer to fight Octagon newcomer Ji Yeon Kim at UFC Fight Night 111 in Singapore on June 17, according to Rick Wright of the Albuquerque Journal, citing a text from Holm's manager Lenny Fresquez.

Holm is yet to sign on for the bout, which was first reported by Chris Taylor of BJPenn.com.

The relatively low profile of Holm's opponent reflects the current skid that she is on as "The Preacher's Daughter" has failed to see her hand raised in three straight fights. After losing her championship to Miesha Tate last March, Holm then dropped consecutive unanimous decisions to Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie.

Holm's fight with de Randamie was actually for the inaugural UFC women's featherweight title. The bout ended in controversy when Holm's team argued that de Randamie should have been penalized for strikes after the bell in Rounds 2 and 3. A formal protest was dismissed and it appears that Holm is moving on from talks of an immediate rematch.

It's unclear whether Holm will return to women's bantamweight to fight Kim, but it should be noted that Kim has fought the majority of her bouts at 135 pounds.

The 27-year-old has a 6-0-2 record competing for promotions in her native South Korea, as well as Japan.
