Martinez bags brace as Atlanta shames 10-man Chicago

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Josef Martinez is making a fine introduction stateside after he scored a brace in Atlanta United's 4-0 dismissal of the Chicago Fire on Saturday, recording a personal tally of five goals in three MLS matches.

The Venezuelan, on loan from Torino, probably couldn't believe his luck as the seas parted - or, in this case, the Chicago Fire's defensive drips Joao Meira and Jonathan Campbell - to let the ball roll neatly into his path for his side's second.

Some horrific delegation from the 10-man Fire's backline, but Martinez finished with aplomb after rounding Jorge Bava.

Martinez, 23, then added gloss to the tie on 82 minutes when he again evaded the 'keeper before converting his side's fourth.
