Who would spend money on this?

One ever-present element of the first half of Arsenal's visit to West Brom Saturday was the sound of biplanes circling the Hawthorns on a characteristically dreary West Midlands day.

With Arsene Wenger's contract set to expire in the summer amid an ever-growing sense of discontent among supporters, the manager has become the hot-button issue at Arsenal, with fans divided over the status of the man who has brought three Premier League crowns and six FA Cups to the perennial top-four side.

First, it was a banner showing its displeasure for the current state of Wenger's tenure with the north London club.

Then, moments later, another biplane did the rounds showing praise for the man in his 21st year with the club.

Embarrassing stuff.
