Former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes is "in talks" to fight again, he said on a yet-to-be-aired episode of "Undeniable with Joe Buck."

"If I could find an opponent that I could definitely beat, I would go again," Hughes said in the interview, which was shot earlier in March, according to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting.

The 46-year-old hasn't fought since September 2013, but hinted to Buck that he was speaking to an organization about a comeback.

In the clip, Hughes says his potential opponent may have have appeared on Buck's show. According to sources of Helwani, he's referring to Royce Gracie.

Hughes beat Gracie at UFC 60 in May 2006.

Hughes has had preliminary talks with Bellator recently, but no offer's been made, multiple sources told Helwani.

The former UFC champ - who retired in 2013 - was fired as UFC's vice president of athlete development and government relations after the company's sale to WME-IMG.
