Report: PSG submits letter to UEFA, notes ref errors in 6-1 loss to Barca
Paris Saint-Germain is entirely unhappy with some of the decisions made by referee Deniz Aytekin during its inexplicable 6-1 loss to Barcelona in last week's Champions League Round of 16 second leg.
In fact, the French outfit was so displeased with some of the calls that it has reportedly sent in a five-page letter to UEFA - the competition's governing body - which included a dossier of refereeing decisions PSG believes were made in error, according to The Telegraph.
Aytekin awarded Barcelona a pair of penalties, which helped Neymar and his teammates secure an unexpected come-from-behind victory at Camp Nou, despite losing the first leg 4-0 in Paris.
Similar decisions did not seem to go PSG's way either.
Javier Mascherano acknowledged the apparent disparity. "It is clear that I did foul (Angel) Di Maria (in the box) but I think that is not the reason why we eliminated PSG," the Argentine said, referencing a tackle on his compatriot which would have given PSG a late penalty, and an opportunity to kill any hope of a Barcelona comeback for good.
PSG detailed eight other incidents in its report, demanding similar mistakes not be made in the future, but did not ask for a replay or for sanctions to be taken against Aytekin or the refereeing crew.

However, The Telegraph further reports that Aytekin may be facing demotion due to his performance in the Champions League tilt.
