Grizzlies' Parsons out indefinitely with partially torn meniscus
Memphis Grizzlies small forward Chandler Parsons has been ruled out indefinitely after suffering a partially torn meniscus in his left knee, the team announced Monday.
"To suffer a setback like this after working so diligently to rebound from the injury to his right knee is obviously tough. That said, we know he will continue to work tirelessly to return to the court with his teammates and contribute," Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace stated. "Chandler has the full support of myself, Coach Fizz, and the entire team and we are all focused on getting him healthy."
It's the second major knee injury for Parsons in the last three seasons, as the 6-foot-10 forward underwent surgery on his right knee in both 2015 and 2016.
Parsons has been underwhelming for the Grizzlies after signing a four-year max-level contract with Memphis last summer, averaging 6.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on just 33.8 percent shooting.
