Rick and Richard Pitino are set to become the first father-son duo to take their teams to the NCAA tournament in the same year.
Rick, the longtime Louisville coach, received a No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region. Richard, who's at the helm at Minnesota, obtained a No. 5 seed in the South Region.
The 34-year-old Richard served an assistant on Rick's Cardinals staff from 2007-09, and as associate head coach in 2011-12.
