Report: Giants agree to 1-year deal with former 1st-rounder Fluker

The New York Giants agreed to a one-year deal with offensive tackle D.J. Fluker, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Fluker was selected 11th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, spending the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers franchise. The 25-year-old was released by the Chargers on March 7.

New York surrendered a mere 22 sacks last season, but still needed improvements across its offensive line. Fluker is expected to compete for the starting right tackle role.

He surrendered 4.5 sacks whil playing in all 16 games last season.
