Oregon's NCAA title hopes were dealt a massive blow on Saturday, as the school announced that forward Chris Boucher will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
The senior standout suffered the injury right before halftime in the Ducks' Pac-12 tournament semifinal win over Cal, but played the rest of the contest. He finished the game with 10 points and two blocked shots before waking up in pain on Saturday.
An MRI confirmed the Ducks' worst fears - that Boucher's ACL was torn.
Boucher has been a key contributor for Oregon this season, averaging 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds. His absence may be felt most at the defensive end, as the 6-foot-10 Canadian is the program's single-season blocks leader and is averaging 2.5 per game this campaign.
The injury will certainly make Saturday's Pac-12 title game against Arizona much tougher, and could hamper Oregon's shot at a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
