The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a deal with free-agent left tackle Russell Okung on a four-year term worth $53 million, $25 million of which will be guaranteed, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.

It's a hefty contract for a tackle allowed to test free agency after just one year with the Denver Broncos.

Okung notably signed a five-year, $53-million deal with the Broncos in 2015 without an agent. The team declined to exercise an option in his contract, cutting ties after just one season.

The Chargers' deal with the seven-year veteran gives Okung one of the highest average salaries for a tackle in the NFL.
