Warriors fall apart in 4th, have home streak snapped by Celtics

It's been a while since anyone saw the Golden State Warriors play this poorly in the fourth quarter at home. But the Boston Celtics went into Oracle Wednesday night and held the Dubs to just 12 final-period points, walking away with a 99-86 victory.

That's a season low in scoring for Golden State, and the lowest total points the team's scored since a 100-86 loss to the Clippers on Christmas Day, 2014. That game was in L.A., though. With Wednesday's loss to Boston, the Warriors snapped their 56-game streak of scoring 100 or more points at home snapped.

The Celtics also ended the Warriors' 54-game home winning streak on April 1 of last year.

What made the loss more painful was the disappearance of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in the final quarter. After combining for 22 of the Warriors' 24 third-quarter points, the pair produced one measly point on a Thompson free throw in the fourth.

The Warriors turned the ball over eight times in the quarter, rendering Curry's smack talk to Jaylen Brown after a third-quarter buzzer-beater moot.

Isaiah Thomas led the way for the Celtics with 25 points, while Kelly Olynyk had 17.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob wasn't pleased.
