With several impending free agents about to hit the market, the Arizona Cardinals are unlikely to sign safety Tony Jefferson or defensive lineman Calais Campbell to new deals, reports Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

The Cardinals are set to have around $18 million in cap space when the new league year begins on Thursday, while Jefferson and Campbell are both expected to get contracts possibly worth upwards of $10 million per season.

On top of Jefferson and Campbell expected to be hitting the market, starting tight end Jermaine Gresham and safety D.J. Swearinger are also impending free agents, but are viewed as easier to sign.

With Eric Berry re-signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, Jefferson is viewed as the best safety about to become a free agent. He recorded a career-high 96 tackles with two sacks and two forced fumbles through 15 games in 2016.

Campbell will also be in high demand as he has established himself as one of the NFL's premier run stoppers through nine seasons with the Cardinals.
