Raiders' Irvin tries to recruit Hightower, Campbell via Twitter

Don't accuse Bruce Irvin of not trying to make his team better.
After one season with the Oakland Raiders, the 29-year-old linebacker is clearing a path for general manager Reggie McKenzie's quest to continue improving the silver and black.
Irvin posted a meme to his Instagram on Friday night declaring that "the time has come" to start recruiting free agents to the Raiders.
Irvin then went to work, reaching out to pending free agents Dont'a Hightower and Calais Campbell.

Irvin isn't going after everybody yet, but he seems to be targeting players who can help improve the Raiders' spotty run defense. Smart man.
