Report: Bears, Jets emerge as possible landing spots for Glennon

Lost in all the talk about where Tony Romo will land, or whether the New England Patriots will trade Jimmy Garoppolo, is the fact that there are other veteran quarterback options available to teams who prefer not to start a rookie passer.

Perhaps the most intriguing option is impending free agent Mike Glennon, who impressed as a rookie with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was less impressive as a sophomore, and then sat behind Jameis Winston for the last two seasons.

The Chicago Bears and New York Jets have emerged as potential landing spots for Glennon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Bears have the third pick in the draft and are expected by many to select a rookie passer, but they also have other needs to address and may not be enamored with any passers in this draft class.

The Jets own the sixth pick and are in a similar situation.

Glennon probably won't break the bank in free agency, but could get a much bigger contract than many expect - especially if multiple teams bid for his services.
