Knicks waive Jennings, sign Randle

Talk about a case of the Mondays.
The New York Knicks started off their week by waiving point guard Brandon Jennings, in order to sign point guard Chasson Randle the team announced.
Jennings informed the Knicks he wanted to play for a playoff team, sources told Marc Spears of The Undefeated.
Jennings arrived in New York to much fanfare last summer, but the mood quickly faded as yet another Knicks season went south. Jennings made plenty of highlights and was a fan-favorite, but his inefficient style evidently led the Knicks to move in another direction.
The 27-year-old averaged 8.6 points and 4.9 assists against 38 percent shooting from the field and 1.8 turnovers in 24.6 minutes per game. He is owed $5 million this season.
