Washington's Fultz misses Washington State game with sore knee

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Markelle Fultz's return to the lineup was short-lived, as the Washington star missed the rivalry game with Washington State on Sunday night with a sore knee.

The freshman phenom's knee kept him out of games against Utah and Colorado two weeks ago, but he did return to the lineup for the past two contests against Arizona and Arizona State.

The Huskies lost their 10th straight game heading on Sunday, and face a tough task to end that skid without Fultz, who is leading the Pac-12 in scoring at 23.2 points per contest.

Washington has only two games remaining in the season, and with Fultz a likely top pick in June's NBA Draft, it wouldn't be shocking to see him shut it down for the remainder of the campaign.
