No side control? No problem.

Sara McMann picked up a statement win at UFC Fight Night 105 in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, submitting short-notice newcomer Gina Mazany with an arm-triangle choke from full mount just 1:14 into their 139.5-pound catchweight bout.

The former women's bantamweight title challenger extended her win streak to three with the tapout, and called for another shot at the strap moments after she'd squeezed the bejeezus out of Mazany's neck.

The 36-year-old tossed Mazany around the Octagon like a ragdoll, and after the debutant fought through one takedown to make it back to her feet, McMann ensured she wouldn't repeat the feat. Once the Olympic silver medalist put Mazany on her back for the second time, it was a matter of mere seconds before she transitioned to mount and picked up her second straight victory by arm-triangle choke.

A former "TUF 18" contestant, Mazany stepped in for an injured Liz Carmouche on just over two weeks' notice and missed weight by 3.5 pounds ahead of the bout. Her record drops to 4-1 with her first professional blemish.
