Kerr won't say if he'll play Durant with Westbrook in All-Star Game

In a more fair world, Russell Westbrook would've been voted in to start Sunday's NBA All-Star Game, rendering this narrative moot. Yet Steve Kerr was questioned Thursday if he planned on ensuring Westbrook and Kevin Durant would see the floor at the same time for the Western Conference.

"I've definitely considered it," Kerr told ESPN's Marc Stein. "The only thing that you have to do as a coach in the All-Star Game is to parcel out the minutes. That's it. You don't draw up any plays. At least I don't; I didn't two years ago. So we've got to figure out the minutes, and I have thought about it and I'm not going to share it with you here today."

Durant was elected to start alongside Warriors teammate Stephen Curry, as well as James Harden, Anthony Davis, and Kawhi Leonard. On the basis of merit alone, Westbrook should be the first player off the West bench, so odds are good the estranged ex-Thunder teammates will get run together.

Durant laughed off the same question.

"Haven't thought about that one," he said. "I know that's the million-dollar question. Whoever (Kerr) throws out there, man, I'm sure it'll be fun."
