Branden Albert has not been released by the Miami Dolphins, contrary to a prior report, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

Albert wasn't listed on the NFL's transactions list as of 4 p.m. ET., and the Dolphins are waiting to assess their trade possibilities, Salguero reports.

It was reported by NFL Network's Mike Garafolo that Albert was slated to be released, with the Dolphins planning on starting Laremy Tunsil at left tackle. Tunsil played at guard during his rookie season, but starred at left tackle during his collegiate career at Ole Miss.

The Dolphins confirmed that they released defensive end Mario Williams, defensive tackle Earl Mitchell, and cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu.

Albert will be among the best offensive tackles available ahead of free agency.
