Budenholzer insists Hawks are not trading Millsap

There are only so many ways to say you aren't trading Paul Millsap. But since Atlanta Hawks coach and president Mike Budenholzer can't quite seem to get that message across, he'll keep beating the same drum.

After ESPN's Marc Stein reported Sunday that there was "fairly rampant" skepticism around the league about the Hawks' purported unwillingness to move the All-Star power forward, Budenholzer again tried to set the record straight Monday.

"He's not going anywhere," Budenholzer, told Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "You can write that."

Millsap, who was dangled in the offseason and was seemingly on his way to being traded at the beginning of January, said he's personally been given those same assurances.

"Bud has been a man of his word," Millsap said. "He has always shot it straight with me, always been honest with me. I take his word for what it is. It's refreshing to know I'm not going anywhere and I'll be on this team until the end of the year.

"Now, I've got to make it work. Stick to basketball and try to get wins."
