Carson Palmer announced this week that, at the age of 37, he'll return to play a 15th season in the NFL.

Time appeared to catch up to the Arizona Cardinals quarterback in 2016, but Palmer copped to being motivated by seeing an older, longer-tenured quarterback win the Super Bowl this year.

Tom Brady won his fifth Super Bowl title and he did so at 39 years old and in his 17th season.

"For Tom to be going on 40 and to do that, that's motivation for me," Palmer said on "The Rich Eisen Show," according to Jess Root of Cards Wire.

"That's very motivating to see him still doing it, because just naturally you think, 'Well, I can do it, too.'"

Palmer can only hope he can find the fountain of youth as Brady seems to have done.
