Patriots' McCourty won't attend Super Bowl trip to White House

It hasn't taken long for Donald Trump to prevent more athletes than ever before from attending their congratulatory trip to the White House.

With New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett having already declined his invitation, safety Devin McCourty has also announced that he will not be visiting with Trump.

"I'm not going to the White House," McCourty wrote in a text message to TIME Magazine. "Basic reason for me is I don't feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won't.

"I can't imagine a way I go there."

Despite Trump's public support for the Patriots and the support he's received from members of the organization, McCourty and Bennett may not be the only ones to announce their plans to not attend the trip.
