Roma's Thomas Vermaelen: Picks up hand injury in training

Vermaelen has been ruled out for Tuesday's clash with Fiorentina due to a hand injury, coach Luciano Spalletti revealed.

Analysis:

Vermaelen has picked a hand problem during training and while the issue is not considered serious, the center back won't be risked before a complete assessment of the ailment is confirmed. Kostas Manolas will most likely return to the starting lineup at center-back alongside Antonio Rudiger and Federico Fazio.
