Watch: Carter-Williams fouls out because Harden jumped on his back

Former Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams had his strongest offensive showing of the season Friday night, but most people will remember his performance for his controversial exit instead of his stellar production.

The Chicago Bulls guard picked up his sixth foul with the score tied at 115 in overtime against the Houston Rockets, forcing him from the game.

James Harden mounted Carter-Williams' back, bringing him to the ground. The officials apparently viewed it as Carter-Williams undercutting the All-Star playmaker, whistling the foul on him instead of Harden.

Carter-Williams finished with a season-high 23 points on 11-of-18 shooting with nine rebounds and six dimes in 35 minutes. The contest wound up being a 121-117 victory for Houston.
