Boldin in no rush to make retirement decision
Detroit Lions wide receiver Anquan Boldin isn't in a hurry to decide whether or not he'll retire this offseason.
Boldin caught 67 passes for 584 yards and eight touchdowns, playing in all 16 games this season.
Speaking at an event on equality and race relations in sports, Boldin said that he'll take time to evaluate his options this spring.
"I have a long time to consider that," Boldin said of his future on the field, according to the team's official website. "That's something I'll take my time with."
After 14 seasons, Boldin remains a viable option for the Lions, and the veteran wideout said the team wants to retain him for the 2017 season.
"I mean there's definitely interest there," Boldin said. "But for me, it's seeing what opportunities lie there, going over it with my wife, because any decision that I make doesn't just affect me. It affects me, my wife, and my two boys, so it's something I have to take into consideration."
