Report: Nuggets exploring trade options involving Mudiay, picks

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

The Denver Nuggets may look to make a big splash before the Feb. 23 trade deadline.

While they're in no rush to move their starting point guard, the Nuggets are quietly seeing what they could in return for Emmanuel Mudiay and multiple draft picks in a potential trade, sources tell ESPN's Zach Lowe.

Drafted seventh overall in 2015, Mudiay has the potential to become one of the finer playmakers in the league and would likely net Denver a solid return in a potential deal.

The 20-year-old guard is putting up solid numbers in his second season, averaging 12.1 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds, but continues to struggle with his shot, hitting just 37.4 percent of his field-goal attempts.

Denver reportedly showed interest in All-Star big man Paul Millsap before the Atlanta Hawks pulled him off the trade market last month.
