Popovich calls U.S. immigration ban scary, 'Keystone Kops-like'
Gregg Popovich isn't one to shy away from voicing his criticisms of President Donald Trump.
The San Antonio Spurs head coach has publicly expressed disgust over the businessman-turned-politician leading the nation.
On Saturday, Trump introduced a travel ban for citizens of several Muslim-majority countries. Popovich, whose roster includes five international players, likened the roll-out to something a fictional police force known for its gross incompetence would enforce.
"As you already know, I have lots of thoughts about what we've done to ourselves as a country and what we've allowed to happen," he said, as quoted by ESPN's Michael C. Wright.

"But we'll see where this goes. Obviously the roll-out today was Keystone Kops-like by any measure with objectivity. Whether you want to say it's good or bad is irrelevant. But it was Keystone Kops, and that's scary."
Trump's ban bars people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen from entering the U.S., which could affect some NBA players.
