Former USC OG Khaliel Rodgers transfers to Iowa State

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Former USC offensive lineman Khaliel Rodgers announced he has transferred to Iowa State and will play his final season of eligibility in Ames.

The Maryland native was part of USC's 2013 recruiting class, ranked as a four-star guard and redshirted his first season.

As a redshirt freshman in 2014, Rodgers would make three starts at the end of the season, then started six games at center in 2015, before injuring his ankle and having offseason shoulder surgery.

Moving to the defensive side of the ball in the trenches to start 2016, Rodgers then moved back to the offensive side of the ball following injuries along the USC offensive line.

Due to being a graduate transfer, Rodgers will not have to sit out a season.
