Texas hits back-to-back 3s in last 12 seconds to shock Oklahoma

Holding a 5-point lead with just 12 seconds to play, Oklahoma had to feel pretty good about its chances for a road win at Texas on Monday.

Unfortunately for the Sooners, games are 40 minutes in length and not 39:48, because two Texas triples in the last 12 seconds, combined with two missed free throws, gave the Longhorns an incredibly dramatic comeback win.

The 1st triple

Following a missed free throw by Khadeem Lattin, Kerwin Roach Jr. would go the length of the court and find Eric Davis Jr. for the deep triple. That would cut the lead to two points with just over 11 seconds to play.

The winner

Texas would foul Kameron McGusty on the inbounds play, sending the 83-percent foul shooter to the line. The standout freshman would miss both free throws, meaning the Longhorns just needed two points to send the game to overtime.

Andrew Jones decided he didn't feel like doing overtime however, as the freshman guard drained a deep three to give Texas a one-point lead with two seconds to play. Oklahoma wouldn't get a shot off, and the Longhorns would walk off the court as winners.
