Top Prospect to Watch in 2017

1B/OF Cody Bellinger is the top ranked prospect in L.A.'s system. Unfortunately, he's going to have a tough time breaking into the Dodgers established lineup at just 21-years-old. Though Bellinger played just three games in Triple-A last year, he did mash three homers in that brief stint. Expect him to take over for A-Gon once the time comes.

Who Will Drive You Crazy?

Puig, obviously. It will have been almost four years since Puig burst onto the scene come Opening Day 2017. Despite all the obstacles, self-imposed or otherwise, Puig put together a stellar September and October last year, hitting .281 with four homers in 23 games - giving some hope for 2017. You know by now what you're getting yourself into.

The One to Own

Kershaw, notwithstanding.

Jansen was dominant last season, registering 47 saves with a 0.67 WHIP and 1.83 ERA. His 13.6 K/9 ranked sat third among closers, according to ESPN. With a potentially dominant Dodgers' rotation, Jansen should be in line to record another 40+ save season. Despite the volatility at the position, Jansen is a near lock to finish as a top-five closer.

Top Sleeper

Pederson has displayed immense power in his two seasons with L.A., blasting 51 homers in 288 games. His career K-rate of 28.3 percent is high, but his walk rate of 14.9 allows him to maintain a OBP of roughly .350 each year. If Pederson can improve his numbers against lefties only marginally, a 30-homer campaign is absolutely in sight.
