Ramos becomes 4th La Liga defender to hit 50-goal mark

Who needs strikers when you have Sergio Ramos?

The Real Madrid captain became the fourth defender in La Liga history to reach the 50-goal mark on Saturday, the Spaniard netting a first-half brace against Malaga with a trademark thumping header (above) in the 35th minute, and a scrappy finish just eight minutes later.

Only former Barcelona stud Ronald Koeman (67) and Real Madrid icons Fernando Hierro (60) and Pirri (52) have scored more goals in their La Liga careers than the 30-year-old has to date.
