Mitchell among 7 Patriots deemed questionable for AFC title game

Malcolm Mitchell will seemingly have a chance to get back on the field with a Super Bowl berth on the line Sunday night.

The New England Patriots' rookie wide receiver, who's been out since Dec. 24 with a knee injury, was officially listed as questionable Friday after a second consecutive week of limited practice.

With Michael Floyd struggling to make much of an impact since joining the Patriots in a late-season waiver claim, it's possible that Mitchell could have a fairly significant role against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the event he's cleared to play.

A fourth-round pick in this year's draft, Mitchell finished the regular season with 32 reception for 401 yards and four touchdowns across 14 games.

The Patriots listed six other players as questionable on Friday's injury report, but each appears on track to play after participating in a limited capacity throughout the week.

That group includes linebacker Dont'a Hightower, tight end Martellus Bennett, wide receiver Danny Amendola, wide receiver Chris Hogan, defensive end Jabaal Sheard, and running back Brandon Bolden.
