Alabama lands No. 2 DT LaBryan Ray
Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports
The nation's second-ranked defensive tackle is headed to Alabama.
Four-star recruit LaBryan Ray has announced he'll play for the Crimson Tide in 2017, turning down offers from Florida, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.
Ray, pegged by ESPN as the No. 17 overall prospect, played at both tackle and end in high school, meaning he could be a very versatile and valuable piece for Nick Saban going forward.
Ray's addition, however, is expected to force fellow four-star defensive lineman Jarez Parks to delay his enrollment at Alabama until January, as the Tide apparently don't have room for both players in their class.
