Dez Bryant has Odell Beckham's back

NFLers that make the trip to the Pro Bowl take time to wind down and pal around with fellow players.

The receivers appear to be a particularly tight group.

Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News spoke with Cowboys wideout Dez Bryant on Saturday, who shared thoughts on division rival and fellow wideout Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham spent much of 2016 fighting off criticisms of his temperament and postgame outbursts, most notably when he allegedly punched a hole in a Lambeau Field wall after the New York Giants' playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers.

"Ya'll like to criticize us for little crazy things, but that's why we have each other, to keep each other lifted, to keep each other going," Bryant said.

"(Beckham is) a talent that a lot of people wouldn't be able to understand. You want to criticize him. You want to talk about him because you just don't understand him, his whole mindset, the way he goes about his game. He's a hell of a football player. He's a great football player.

"Whenever something doesn't go right, as far as a team loss, you all don't like his actions and all it is is him wanting to win the game. If more people were like that on his team, maybe they'd do something special."
