New Swansea City manager Paul Clement has made a second addition to his inherited squad with the signing of Martin Olsson from Norwich City.

The 28-year-old left-back inked a two-and-a-half-year stay in south Wales, with an option for a third year, and joins for a reported £5-million fee.

"I've known Paul for a few years and he's a good man," said Olsson of Clement, whom he previously worked under during his coaching spell at Blackburn Rovers. "I like the way he trains - it is intense - and I can't wait to start working with him.

"The squad plays good football, even with the position the team is in now, and I don't think the club should be down there. It's a good team."

He links up with winger Luciano Narsingh, who joined for £4 million from PSV Eindhoven last week, and will provide direct competition to the currently injured Neil Taylor and Falkirk product Stephen Kingsley.

Olsson, who has been handed the No. 16 shirt, could make his debut for the bottom-placed Swans in Saturday's trip to Liverpool.
