Cubs gift Obama with the 'best swag I've gotten as president'

The World Series champion Chicago Cubs were the guests of honor at the White House on Monday, but it was president Barack Obama who received the gifts.

In what is his final week in office, Obama hosted the Cubs at a ceremony during the afternoon, just days before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn in.

After Obama, a life-long White Sox fan and Chicago native, spoke about the highlights of the Cubs' remarkable season that saw them end a 108-year championship drought, team president Theo Epstein took to the podium. Epstein thanked Obama for hosting the club, and honored him with several gifts, including a pair of jerseys, a No. 44 scoreboard tile, a lifetime pass to Wrigley Field, and a W Flag signed by the entire team.

"This is some nice swag," Obama said. "Best swag I've gotten as president."
