Baylor's Zamora declares for NFL draft

Ishmael Zamora is the latest Baylor receiver to head for the NFL, as the redshirt sophomore tweeted out that he's skipping his final two seasons of eligibility and will enter the 2017 Draft.

Zamora had a breakout season after Bears star Corey Coleman left early for the 2016 Draft, catching 63 balls for 809 yards and eight touchdowns despite missing the first three games of the season.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder joins fellow Baylor receiver KD Cannon in declaring early for the draft. He certainly has the size that NFL scouts will crave, but will be considered a project of sorts with only one season as a starter under his belt.

While the Bears' offense will be hit hard with the departures of Cannon and Zamora, underclassmen Chris Platt and Blake Lynch showed great potential in 2016, and should thrive in bigger roles next season.
