Highs and lows of golf on display in Hawaii

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Russell Henley was two holes from posting another low score at the Sony Open on Friday, that is until his tee shot on No. 17 found the greenside bunker.

When Henley approached the bunker he noticed he had fried-egg lie in the sand. Henley did his best, but the ball never got out of the bunker and it led to a bogey.

Ben Crane had better success at the par-3 7th, when his tee shot landed inches from the cup for a tap-in birdie.

Jordan Spieth also hit one tight at the par-4 12th from 97 yards out, for a kick-in three.
