Triple H throws support behind Embiid with All-Star vote

It's time to play the game, and it's time to trust the process.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid has turned himself into a social media phenomenon as of late with his campaign to get himself named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team, using every strategy in the book to help garner fan support.

While he's certainly doing well enough on his own, some added assistance came in the form of 14-time WWE World Champion Triple H on Thursday evening, who tweeted out a vote for the Rookie of the Year favorite.

Embiid tagged "The Game" and the sports-entertainment promotion in a photo of him putting his hands around T.J. McConnell's neck in celebration following his game-winning turnaround jumper against the New York Knicks. The rookie wrote that he learned how to do that by watching Triple H wrestle before asking if WWE is "ready for the process."

"Last night with Triple H, that was amazing," Embiid said Friday of the vote, according to CSN Philly's Jessica Camerato.

Following the second return of votes, Embiid finds himself ranked fourth in voting in the East frontcourt behind LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Love with 457,300 votes.
