Report: Sevilla, Southampton, Swansea balk at Sakho's £105K salary

Liverpool's forgotten defender Mamadou Sakho is on the market, but Sevilla, Southampton, and Swansea City are unwilling to match his £105,000-a-week salary, according to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol.

The French defender will be available for £20 million, according to reports earlier this week, despite not appearing for a minute under Jurgen Klopp this campaign due to disciplinary issues that came to light on a pre-season tour of the United States.

Sakho fell foul of Klopp's expectations after he nearly missed a plane for San Francisco, missed a training session, and was late for a team meal.

The 26-year-old has started six matches for Liverpool's Under-23s, with his last appearance coming in a 3-2 defeat of Arsenal on Dec. 12, but there has been no suggestion from the senior setup that he'll be leaping ahead of Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, and Ragnar Klavan for consideration in the starting XI anytime soon.

His services would be welcomed by any of the three interested parties.

Sevilla is positioned second in La Liga, but has conceded four more goals than 12th-placed CD Alaves, Southampton is looking to replace wantaway Jose Fonte, and Swansea is toiling second from bottom in the Premier League
